Move your passwords to the Mac app straight from Apple Passwords

On macOS 26, password managers can hand their items to each other directly, with no file in between. In the Passwords app, choose File → Export Data to Another App, then Octa Pass. Before, the Mac listed no app to receive them; only the iPhone app could.

Octa Pass comes forward, asks you to unlock if it’s locked, and shows how many items arrived. Nothing is saved until you choose Import, and the items go into your Personal vault. Cancel, or lock Octa Pass, and they’re forgotten. The items are read inside the app, never in its window.
