Emergency contacts can open your files

Emergency access now covers attachments. When your trusted contact opens your vault after the waiting period, items with files show a Files list, and each file downloads and decrypts on their device, the same way your own files do.

They only get files from what you chose to share with them: everything, or the one vault you picked. If you deny the request or remove the contact, downloads stop straight away. The server still only ever sees encrypted files. See emergency access.
