Planned: use Octa Pass without an account

Octa Pass will have a local mode: choose Use on this device only at first launch, and your vault stays on that device with nothing sent anywhere.

• Autofill, suggested passwords, one-time codes, passkeys, the health check and device unlock all work offline.
• Encrypted backup files protect against losing the device, with reminders and optional automatic backups to a folder you choose.
• The vault is tied to the device’s security chip where there is one, and needs a strong master password.
• Turn on sync later creates a free account and uploads the vault without re-entering anything.

It ships with the browser extension in phase 2, then in the desktop and mobile apps. See use without an account and plans 01, 03, 05 and 09.
